Tarot has always been a draw to me. At first something to help me find answers. Reaching for something cause I knew there was more out there. I can come to see tarot now not just as some trick or game. It is a dialogue between you and your Soul and the universe. It’s a relationship with the divine. Think of it as prayer through the cards. You can ask a question and get guidance or just get messages from Spirit. Tarot is also a mirror can show you things that you may not see. When it comes to Tarot it is good to come to a read with a question.
Today I started the read with a conversation with me a Spirit. I have struggled with church and modern day religion. I had turned my back on those ideals and belief systems as I they are not healthy for me and what I value. With that being said, I struggle with thoughts of traditional prayer or even communication with spirit. I said this to Spirit as it has been more of a one way communication. We talk out loud or in our heads but there typically is no banter. Its not like going to coffee and sitting with someone and having a exchange back and forth. I was talking out loud to Spirit as I shuffled the cards.
The first card that came was The Magician. The first card of the Deck. This is the start of your story. Your Power is active. This is the spark card. The creator. The manifestor. You have every tool you need to create the next chapter. Your ideas aren’t “potential” — they’re ready to move into form. Spirit is nudging you to use your voice, your creativity, your vision, and your magic intentionally. This is you in your highest alignment. You have the power now in this moment!
The Next card is the 8 of Swords. The Only Block Is a Mental One. Watch where your mind traps you. This is the contrast card. It says: There’s a story, fear, or old wound making you doubt your power. You may be overthinking. Something in your relationship or creative path may feel like “I can’t say this” or “I’m stuck,” but the trap is mental, and not real. And this card asks you to gently choose truth over fear.
The last card, The Emperor. Step Into Leadership, Structure, and Authority. Your power needs boundaries. The Emperor comes in as grounding and direction: Create the structure that supports your magic. Say the thing that needs to be said (with clarity, not apology). Establish boundaries that honor your worth. Move from “reacting” into “leading.” Spirit is saying: Don’t let fear decide. Let alignment lead.
The Answer comes in so many ways. But first instant it incredible how a bunch of cards shuffled can be pulled to tell a story that is true for you in that moment? So I have been struggling with structure and consistency. Consistency with grounding practices and Meditation. Both of these practices have been impactful for me in various ways. But in my heart I want to do better but I do get easily distracted. Also, when it comes to a relationship with Spirit is the same way with anyone. You cannot have a good relationship without consistency. Today Spirit is telling me they are here. They hear me but they are calling me to be consistent in my practice a craft. I love Tarot so much and I am blown away by how consistently spirit sends a message
